On Wednesday evenings, we’re studying 1 Kings and learning about the lives of God’s messengers, His prophets in the lives of Judea (the southern 10 tribes) and Israel (the northern two tribes.  Currently we are studying the life of Elijah, seeing how God enables Elijah’s faith to grow; how he uses Elijah to bring Israel to repentance and restore the nation to following Him.  There are many lessons in 1 Kings applicable to our lives today.
